Hurricane Relief 11/13/2008
Hurricane Gustov left a terrible mark on the Louisiana landscape. On August 29, 2008, several members of the MFRS team were called to assist in the hurricane relief efforts in the Baton Rouge, LA area. After spending 14 days in the region assisting with structural drying of several buildings on the LSU campus, Hurricane Ike showed up. The MFRS team now strengthened to 14 members strong and all swarmed into the Port Arthur Texas area to again begin efforts to dry several structures including Churches and Universities.
35 days were spent between Louisiana and Texas; we were proudly responsible for successfully drying over 25 buildings. Because of our quick response team and massive drying effort, these buildings were dried quickly and effectively without the need for demolition of building materials.
