Metropolitan’s successful history began in 1959 with W.L. Hughes forming a company to provide commercial maintenance contracting throughout the Chicagoland, Southern Wisconsin and Phoenix, Arizona areas. He had the foresight to understand his client’s needs for professional workmanship, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and taking the extra step to ensure that his clients remained satisfied throughout their experiences with Metropolitan.
In 1973, William S. Hughes formed Metropolitan Carpet Care providing carpet/upholstery cleaning and water damage services throughout the Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin areas. Shortly after in 1976, Metropolitan Fire Restoration Services, Inc. was introduced, specializing in fire and smoke damage restoration, water damage restoration, structural drying and dehumidification, carpet and upholstery cleaning, contents cleaning and restoration, inventory, packing, and moving to our climate controlled facility. In 1994, Metropolitan welcomed the opportunity to expand its restoration services by including to its staff, fully trained and experienced carpenters. This expansion, has allowed Metropolitan to better serve its customers with the full range of services necessary for restoring and rebuilding their homes, businesses, and lives.
With the dedication and commitment of our entire staff, Metropolitan has been successful in exceeding our customer’s expectations. This is shown through our enviable reputation, repeat clientele and 90% of our referrals are from past and existing clients.
